How to Create a Customer

Achieve more with less time, money & stress

When naming a Customer, use language that everyone on your team can easily understand. Try to avoid acronyms. The shorter the better of course but don’t try to be cute and have people not clearly understand who the customer is. Understandability is most important so use as many words as you need but only use words you need.

Classify your Customer as 1 of 3 types:

Internal: Members of your team

External: People outside of your team.

Partner: People outside of your team working with members of your team to help deliver value to people outside of your team.

Select a visual representation of your Customer so you and your team can make a visual connection to a color & image.

You can share different levels of customer information:

  • High-level customer information by editing their Customer
  • Detailed customer information by creating a Customer Persona
