Parallel blog 1 - Our mission & process for acheving it

Helping Leaders & Their Teams Feel a Sense of Purpose Every Day

Our mission is to help leaders and their teams feel a sense of purpose every day by connecting their roles to clear and flexible priorities, allowing them to finally find their passions, love their jobs and contribute to a better future for all.

Most employees today are either emotionally detached (60%) or miserable (19%) (Gallup 2022 State of the Workplace). Together we can turn unhappy & less productive into happy & more productive. We need a change and to change, we have a process.

OUR PROCESS for achieving this mission is threefold:

Empathy

We believe that empathy is an absolute necessity in leaders today. But not just empathizing with how people feel, empathizing with where they want to go. The questions that leaders need to ask are: What are their employees’ and team’s goals? What are their priorities? Aligning your goals with the goals of those around you makes you feel as though you’re all moving toward a shared end goal that you’re all vested in contributing to. When groups of people are vested in helping each other reach their goals, everyone lives a more meaningful life.

Purpose

90% of business executives understand the importance of having organizational purpose: “an aspirational reason for being which inspires and provides a call to action for an organization and its partners and stakeholders and provides benefit to local and global society.” (Harvard Business Review: The Business Case for Purpose)

But not just helping people understand what your company’s purpose is. The key is connecting every role of your employees to that purpose in what they do on a daily basis. It’s important that employees feel as though the work they are doing on a daily basis has meaning. So the question you need to ask is: How are you connecting your purpose to your employees so they feel compelled to work for you? We help you do that.

Winning

Everyone wants to win. But winning in a world that is changing at an accelerated pace can leave teams overwhelmed and exhausted. We believe that the key to success, not just today, but for the long term, is agility, and being prepared for constant reevaluation by continuously empathizing with those around you, redefining your purpose and redefining what success means to you

This process is a constant cycle as the world changes. Empathy reveals how people’s priorities shift, allowing organizations to refocus their purpose, and demonstrate company-wide agility to win.

Over the coming weeks, I’ll be breaking down our process so that you can use it to help everyone in your organization and in your life feel excited to succeed.
